Dog Mart LA is a must-try for Los Angeles locals. This shop has the most unique approach to what it meant to be a pet store. From their borrow-a-book libraryto their unique speakeasy-like location, they are truly one-of-a-kind. Their Instagram is pretty awesome too! Say hello @dogmart.la !
We're kind of obsessed with this Bay Area gem thatprefers apple spice to pumpkin spice, is 100% anticheesy Christmas music, and deemed a toddler as their "customer experience manager".Weare thrilled to be featuring them this week in our retail spotlight post.
"We don't participate in Pumpkin Spice, but we do have an apple spray that is quite nice in the fall. We also don't play Christmas music in the store. :)"
"Before moving to LA, I would always hear things like “living in a big city, you never get to know anyone” or “it’s so hard to make friends in the city”. But boy oh boy, does Downtown LA prove those theories wrong. There is such a powerful sense of community here and it is beautiful. All of my customers are genuine, kind, and 110% badass. My customers are also very diverse because we are located in the middle of THE melting pot, which creates a very unique and open atmosphere at Pet Project LA. There is truly a sense of connectedness between each other even if you have never officially met someone and only seen him/her in passing. Everyone ALWAYS has each other’s back and is offering to help one another out. It’s amazing."
We are thrilled to share our very first retail spotlight post. This is chance for us to share some of our favorite pet stores. Every store we feature has a unique offering and amazing staff, both human and furry!
Today, we asked the owner ofPaws and Effectto take us behind the scenes at our favorite dog boutique/pet spa in town!
