Product FAQ

How do I dose the Dope Dropper?

You know your dog best! Begin with the recommended starting dose below and scale up or down as needed. Observe before and after administration to determine the optimal dose. Repeat every 3-6 hours as needed. Suggested serving is 1-3 mg of CBD per 10lb

Note: If your dog weights less than 10 pounds, they can still still enjoy Calming Crunchies. Simply breaking the treat in half as dose as needed. The Dope Dropper is also a great option for smaller mouths.

Please refer to the dosing guidelines on the product page for more specific dosing guides.

How often can my pet enjoy Dope Dog CBD?

We are dedicated to supporting a routine that works best for each pet. Many dogs do great with 2+ doses per day, and some only need it on specific occasions. The full effects may remain for up to 4-8 hours, depending on the method of use and dosage.

How long until CBD effects take place?

Each dog is unique! Effects take place depending on a number of factors including the product you are using and your dog's natural digestion process. The effects of edible treats will take place upon digestion, anywhere from 20 - 60+ minutes.

Can I use the CBD Dope Dropper on my dog's food?

Yes! While we recommend administering directly into the mouth for best results, you can also drop oil onto food or treats. Keep in mind that if placed on food, you will need to wait for digestion to see effects, whereas administering into the mouth will absorb quicker

Is CBD safe for my dog?

Yes! Dogs are especially responsive to CBD as they have the highest concentration of cannabinoid receptors in their brain and bodies compared to other animals, even humans. Our CBD products are effective in bringing balance to pets suffering from a variety of ailments including separation anxiety, arthritis, inflammation, pain, mobility issues, cancer, end-of-life discomfort, epilepsy, and more.

CBD FAQ

What does CBD stand for?

CBD is short for cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is one of the many cannabinoids that occur naturally in the hemp plant. CBD provides the therapeutic benefits of cannabis and is 100% non-psycoactive.

How does CBD work?

CBD is a cannabinoid that works naturally with the body to help regulate biological processes including inflammation and relaxation. Taken regularly, CBD can help maintain a healthy balance in the endocannabinoid system, along with many other therapeutic benefits.

Is CBD legal in my state?

CBD is legal under federal law, if it is derived from hemp, as passed in the 2018 Farm Bill. No medical prescription is needed. CBD is not specifically listed as a controlled substance in the United States Controlled Substances Act like its counterpart THC. Individual state laws are more specific and some individual states may govern hemp-derived CBD.

What’s the difference between CBD and THC?

CBD and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are both cannabinoids derived from cannabis. They both interact with the cannabinoid receptors of the endocannabinoid system. The main difference between these two popular cannabinoids is that one is psychoactive and one is not. THC is the cannabinoid that directly activates that CB1 receptor to create a euphoric side effect. CBD is an indirect antagonist of the CB1 receptor because it blocks it from linking with other compounds, making it non-psychoactive.
